Hip and low back pain can make everyday activities such as sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and sleeping more difficult. This four-session group medical visit series uses mindful movement to support your recovery journey with persistent hip and/or low back pain.
Each one-hour session incorporates yoga and other therapeutic movement techniques designed to calm the nervous system, build confidence and a sense of safety with movement, and explore areas of tension, weakness, and stiffness that may contribute to hip and low back pain.
Throughout the series, you will be guided through gentle movements that support mobility, strength, body awareness, and more comfortable participation in daily activities. The focus is not on pushing through pain or achieving specific yoga poses. Movements can be adapted to your comfort level, abilities, and available range of motion. No previous yoga experience is required.
This is a progressive series, with each session building on the skills and movements introduced previously. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions.
